Hi! Dutch guy from Haarlem, the Netherlands, who owns a Sony NEX5 camera, but posts the occasional iPhone picture too. Most of what I post on tumblr is my own, but also some reblogs (look for the tag reblog).

Window into time

Inspired by the Looking in the Past group on Flickr I used old photo’s of my town Haarlem and reshot them in today’s context. Sounds easy, but believe me it is very difficult to get all the angles right. But I do like the effect :)

Posted on: Wednesday 19 September with 4 notes.
Haarlemmerhout Park, Haarlem
Monument to Laurens Janszoon Coster, the man who the Dutch long believed was the inventor of the printing press. (And there is evidence that makes it probable we are right in the end!)
Now this is a great photo-project idea: take old photo’s and mash them up with pics of the current situation at the exact same location. San Francisco based photographer Shawn Clover just did this by combining 1906 pics of earthquake stricken SF with 2012 pics. NEAT!

Wow, luving Lisbon at night. This is Arco Monumental da rua Augusta, as seen from Praca do Comércio
